Caring Cremations
Caring Cremations, founded in 2021, offers compassionate and affordable cremation services for both human and pet families in Hickory, focusing on personalized memorials and grief support with a modern approach. They have experienced significant growth, serving nearly 500 families and expanding their pet services to over 1,500 annually. Beyond their core offerings, they actively participate in community events, aligning closely with the City's vision for economic development.
Catawba Valley Engineering & Testing (CVET), founded in 2012, has rapidly grown into a 30-employee multidisciplinary firm offering geotechnical, environmental, and construction testing services across North Carolina. Despite its growth and doubled profits, CVET maintains a small-firm approach, providing personalized service to developers, municipalities, and property owners. They have contributed to numerous significant local projects, including the Hickory Trail, convention center expansions, university facilities, and various housing developments, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to the region's development.
