Big dogs, small dogs & all dogs are invited to Bruce Meisner Park on Saturday, December 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for our first Doggie Day with Santa! Owners and their dogs will have opportunities to take pictures and walk with Santa, enjoy various vendors as well as see the Gingerbread Doghouse, Candy Cane Dog Bone Yard and more! DIY Christmas Craft
On Tuesday, December 6, at 6:30 p.m. come on down to Highland Recreation Center to get in the holiday spirit! Participants will be able to paint their own Christmas-themed plank in their choice of design and color for $25. Registration is required for this event; spots are limited so register soon! Dust off those old sneakers and get your team ready! Registration is now open for the Winter Adult Basketball League. Games will begin in January and be played on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday evenings at Neill Clark Recreation Center. Teams can consist of up to 12 players and the entry is fee is $400 per team. This holiday season we are going to be making a 3D Snoopy Dog House Christmas Craft. First, we will travel to Winston-Salem for an early dinner, followed by the Tanglewood Christmas lights. What a better way to celebrate the holidays than with a 3 on 3 Christmas Basketball Tournament. The tournament will be held on Saturday, December 17, at Ridgeview Recreation Center. City of Hickory Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department presents a 6 day, 5 night motorcoach guided tour of New Orleans. The tour includes, but is not limited to: admission to the National World War II Museum, admission to Mardi Gras World, and a relaxing riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River.
