Short track racing is back! In partnership with North Carolina Cyclo-Cross, the Lake Hickory Short Track Mountain Bike Series will be held on Sunday, March 12, 19 & 26 at the Lake Hickory Trails. Inviting all littles for a fun day of St. Patty's activities on Friday, March 17, from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Highland Recreation Center. Anyone ages 2-8 are welcome to participate. Calling all seniors ages 50 and better! The City of Hickory is hosting the Unifour Senior Games, which brings together residents of Catawba, Burke, Alexander, and Caldwell counties for arts programs and athletic competitions. The games will run April 4 through May 16 with over 65 different categories at various locations. The registration fee includes a t-shirt and lunch at Opening Ceremonies. Hop on down to the 36th annual Children's Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1, at Henry Fork River Park. The hunt will be broken into the following age categories:
0-2 years of age at 10:00 a.m. 3-4 years of age at 10:30 a.m. 5-6 years of age at 11:00 a.m. 7-12 years of age at 8:15 p.m. (night hunt, bring a flashlight)
