Show off your strategy skills at this month’s Gather & Game night! Play classic board games like Settlers of Catan, Viticulture, and Faraway in a fun, competitive environment on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6-8:30 p.m. at Highland Recreation Center. Registration is now open!

Dog Walk & Pictures with Santa

Santa Paws is coming to town! Celebrate the holidays with the whole family at a special Dog Walk & Pictures with Santa! Bring your four-legged friends to Bruce Meisner Park on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to have their photos taken with Santa. This event benefits the Catawba County Animal Services Pet Food Bank. All attendees are encouraged to bring a pet food donation item to ensure all animals have full bellies this holiday season. 

Tanglewood Park Festival of Lights

Experience the holiday magic of the Tanglewood Park Festival of Lights on Thursday, Dec. 11, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Participants will depart from Highland Recreation Center for a night spent driving through dazzling light displays sure to get you in the Christmas spirit. Registration is only $8 per person.

Pictures with Santa

Christmas is right around the corner, have you been naughty or nice this year? Ask Santa for a peek at his list on Saturday, Dec. 13, at our annual Pictures with Santa at Highland Recreation Center! From 10-10:30 a.m., gather around as Santa reads a special Christmas-themed story. Then, Santa will be available for family photos from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hot chocolate and holiday cookies will be provided while supplies last. No registration required.
