Summer Track Series
The Hickory Summer Track Series, hosted by the City of Hickory Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department and Lenoir-Rhyne University, will return on Thursdays, June 5-26, from 6-9 p.m. at the Lenoir-Rhyne University outdoor track. Events include the kids 50m, 1 mile, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 4x100m, 800m, 2 miles, 5000m, long jump, triple jump, shot put, high jump, and pole vault. Registration is $10 for each date or $30 for the entire series.
Celebrate MLB Play Ball Weekend at Pitch Hit & Run on Saturday, June 14, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Jaycee Park! Kids ages 7-14 are invited to register for this free event with the Hickory Crawdads.
Join us and Hickory Police Department for the annual Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hickory Elks Lodge in downtown Hickory. The Bike Rodeo is a free, family-friendly event where individuals can try out a bike safety skills course, play bicycle games, and have personal bikes safety-tested by Hickory Police Officers on-site.
Back to the Future Community Softball Tournament

Stanford Park features three softball/baseball fields in addition to restrooms and a concession stand. Also onsite are a graffiti wall, outdoor basketball court, picnic shelter, two playgrounds, and Highland Recreation Center. Stanford Park is located at 1451 8th St Dr NE in Hickory.
