City of Hickory’s Lowes Foods Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting

The City of Hickory’s annual Lowes Foods Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21, starting at 5:45 p.m. Join us to watch the parade through downtown Hickory, then stay to see Santa Claus light the Christmas tree on Union Square. The evening kicks off the holiday season with holiday music, shopping, and fun for the whole family.

Edible Bird House Workshop

Get into the holiday spirit with our Edible Bird House Workshop! Create festive, gingerbread-style birdhouses using all bird-friendly, edible decorations. These whimsical houses are designed for fun and feeding—not for nesting—making them perfect outdoor decorations to help your neighborhood birds enjoy a winter treat. Spots are limited; register today for this fun workshop on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at Highland Recreation Center.

Santa Paws is coming to Bruce Meisner Park! The annual Dog Walk & Pictures with Santa will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your furry friend to take photos with Santa and visit various local vendors. Food trucks will be on site.
