The annual Kidfest is back for 2024 on Saturday, September 21! Come to Kiwanis Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a day of play for kids of all ages. We will have everything from face painters to crafts, games, and vendors. No registration is required. This event is in partnership with The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Hickory. Ruff, Ruff, Run 5K & Festival
The inaugural Ruff, Ruff, Run 5K and Festival will be held on Sunday, September 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Winkler Park located at 2500 Clement Boulevard in Hickory. The schedule of events for the festival will be:
11 a.m. - Festival begins (food trucks, music, dog vendors) 1 p.m. - 5K race begins (run with your dog) 2:30 p.m. - Dog Yoga

Do you think your company has what it takes to be named the Corporate Challenge Champion?! The Corporate Challenge is a competition amongst organizations where each team will go head to head in a variety of activities including dodgeball, cornhole, pickleball, trivia, and more. Mountain bikers, come explore the Virginia Creeper Trail with us on Saturday, October 5! Meet at 7:30 a.m. at Highland Recreation Center for a day trip along this scenic mountain biking trail. We will stop for lunch in Damascus, VA, and return to Hickory in the afternoon. Registration is required below by September 25. Hickory City Park has eight lighted tennis courts, a multipurpose facility, a covered shelter, and a paved bikeway. It also has an access point to the Lake Hickory Trails, a system of mountain biking and nature trails. Hickory City Park is located at 1581 12th Street Drive NW in Hickory.
